Our Profile

We are located in the Sydney CBD near the corner of Pitt Street and Goulburn Street, close to the major Courts. We also travel throughout the State & ocasionally interstate. The Solicitors have a hands on approach and usually answer the phone directly, clients have our mobile numbers and we are available 24/7….

Costs are very competitive & we bill as the matter progresses so there are no nasty surprises. We do fixed price conveyancing for residential properties and will often quote and charge fixed prices for stages of litigation.

We do not usually do personal injury matters but  we do almost everthing else.

Focus is on Conveyancing, Crime, Children’s Crime, Family Law, Defamation, Civil Litigation.

We accept Legal Aid matters.

Our offices are wheelchair accessible.

David was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a Legal practitioner on 19th April 1996 after 20 years of commercial experience in Banking, Finance & Insurance. He worked at Abbott Tour for 2 years and then estabished his own practice. He went to the NSW Bar in 2006 and after working overseas in 2008 resumed practice as a Barrister in January 2009 and then as a Solicitor and Barrister in April 2009, licensed by the NSW Law Society.In July 2011 David’s practice was incorporated and he thereafter practised with Monica McKenzie for 3 years then unincorporated the practice as at 30/6/2014. David then returned to sole practice.


David has completed Tertiary Studies including:-


  • Bachelor of Commerce (NSW);
  • Master of Commerce (NSW);
  • Diploma in Law (LPAB);
  • Masters of Law (Sydney);
  • Insurance Major (Deakin);
  • Banking & Finance certificate (TAFE).

Whilst employed by various financial institutions including Westpac (10 years); Commercial Union (2 years) and Standard Chartered Bank (3 years) he was a member of various professional associations including:-

  • Senior Associate of the Australian Institute of Bankers;
  • Fellow of the Australian Insurance Institute; and
  • Associate of the National Institute of Accountants.

Quentin Kuo

Quentin was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 11th October 2013. He graduated from UTS Juris Doctor after completing his Honours thesis at UNSW Science.
Quentin is a Costa Rica born Taiwanese. Quentin migrated with his family to Australia in 1988, He went back to Taiwan to attend four years of primary school andreturned to Sydney for all his subsequent studies.
Quentin has a strong command of many languages. His forte is Mandarin, Hokkein and Cantonese. He is able to establish simple and effective communication with our multicultural client base and build a strong client/solicitor relationship.
Quentin joined David Leamey as a Law Clerk in March 2013. Quentin was then briefly employed by a private company as an in-house counsel before invited to join David Leamey to practice as a solicitorin March 2014.
Quentin has since accumulated business and legal experience with David’s guidance and common sense. Quentin regularly appears in Court mentions and assists across as range of criminal, family, property and civil matters.
Quentin was elected the 2006 President of Taiwanese Student Association (TSA) and remained a mentor to young Taiwanese leaders Sydney-wide. He also helped the debut of the Taiwan Festival in 2011 by bringing together the 5 major TSA’s of across Sydney, the Australian Taiwanese Friendship Association (ATFA) and the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Australia (TCCA).

Quentin has completed Tertiary Studies including:-

  • Bachelor of Science (Nanotechnology) (UNSW);
  • Juris Doctor (UTS).

Quentin is registered as:-

  • Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales;
  • Solicitor of the High Court of Australia;
